Known as “The Original Conversation,” Nice Kicks is looking to tell a story about one of the NBA’s best in the 90s, Shawn Kemp. For Kemp, his explosive playstyle caught the eye of Reebok who gave him his own signature sneakers, the Reebok Kamikaze. To pay homage to Kemp, the Kamikaze silhouette and the nostalgia behind classic video games, Nice Kicks has teamed up with Reebok on the Nice Kicks x Reebok Kamikaze II Low "Jam."
Coming dressed in a rich black suede upper, a majority of the overlays features a 3M reflective static print, also seen on the midsole. Down towards the toe, an embroidered Reebok logo in red bursts off the black suede, located near the purple set of cotton laces. Going up the black 3M tongue, which is reversible to showcase the Nice Kicks logo, you’ll reach the black collar. Internally, the sockliner gets a custom retro video game-inspired graphic featuring Shawn Kemp who also gets his signature plastered on the medial heel. Underfoot a bright teal midsole gets paired with a two-tone black and teal rubber outsole.
The Nice Kicks x Reebok Kamikaze II Low Jam is slated to release on July 14th, 2022 exclusively through shopnicekicks.com. Releasing in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
