Known for her creative upcycling projects, Nicole McLaughlin has turned everyday objects into wearable art, gaining a significant following on social media. Her collaborations with various brands, including her notable work with Hoka, have brought her unique vision to the retail market. Following the success of previous releases, Nicole McLaughlin and Hoka are set to unveil a new colorway of the Hoka Mafate Three2 in White Neon this June.
The Nicole McLaughlin x Hoka Mafate Three2 White Neon retains the robust construction and outdoor-ready features of the standard Mafate Three2 but with distinctive design elements that reflect McLaughlin's style. The upper features metallic silver hits on the mudguard and paneling, complemented by a gradient silver and volt hue on the mesh base. Branding for Nicole McLaughlin is subtly placed on the left shoe's insole, allowing the design to speak for itself.
This model also introduces practical nylon loops on the upper, which support the attachment of an adjustable gaiter. The gaiter, designed for added protection and utility, includes storage pockets and branding details for Nicole McLaughlin and Hoka. The look is completed with a chunky white foam midsole and a durable red and white Vibram rubber outsole, ensuring comfort and grip on various terrains.
The Nicole McLaughlin x Hoka Mafate Three2 White Neon W will release on June 14, 2024, through Hoka and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $250. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
