Nike has long been celebrated for its innovative designs and nostalgic revivals. However, in recent years, the brand has faced criticism for over-relying on a few retro silhouettes, such as the Air Force 1, Dunk Low, and Jordan 1. In a strategic shift, Nike plans to reduce the production of these models and reintroduce various lesser-known retro silhouettes. Among these reintroductions is the Nike ACG Izy, set to return in Holiday 2024. The Izy, an archival ACG silhouette from the early 2000s, follows the successful re-release of the ACG Rufus earlier this year.
The Nike ACG Izy Black Limestone features a unique moccasin-like design that distinguishes it from other sneakers in the ACG lineup. The upper is crafted with premium materials and includes stitching around the profile, adding a touch of craftsmanship and durability. One of the standout features of the Izy is its laceless design, utilizing a convenient zipper system for easy on and off. This functionality is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who value practicality without sacrificing style. The upper sits atop the same tooling as the ACG Rufus, featuring a foam midsole for lightweight cushioning and a rubber outsole for excellent traction on various terrains.
The Nike ACG Izy Black Limestone will release in Holiday 2024 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
