Nike is bringing back the classic Air Alpha Force 88 in a series of colorways later this year. In addition to the upcoming Billie Eilish collab, this '80s icon will also receive a suede makeover for an elevated aesthetic. The rendition is dubbed the Nike Air Alpha Force 88 "Light Bone," showcasing a new grey tone bringing modern sophistication to the vintage basketball model.
The Light Bone preserves the hallmark features of the original, including perforated toebox and collar for breathability and lockdown strap for a secure fit. The new suede upper adds a soft and luxurious feel to the shoe. Tonal grey features on the midfoot Swoosh is finished in leather for a slight textural contrast. Nike Air branding on the heel adds to the throwback appeal, and the design concludes with a sail and grey midsole and grey outsole.
The Nike Air Alpha Force 88 Light Bone will release August 31, 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. The sneaker will be available in men’s sizing for a retail price of $130.
