When the Nike Air Foamposite One was originally released in 1997, only one colorway dropped, the “Royal.” Worn on-court by Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway, the Foamposite One is synonymous with Hardaway, as much as his signature Penny line. Penny was even blessed with an unreleased player exclusive colorway, something that was uncommon during these days. After years of fans yearning for their release, NSW is finally set to drop the Nike Air Foamposite One in white/black, but with a slight twist.
Inspired by Penny's original Home-themed white, black and royal Nike Air Foamposite One, this upcoming iteration comes in a white, metallic silver, black, cobalt bliss, and racer blue colorway. A part of Nike Sportswear’s All-Star Pack for 2023, this pair mimics the OG, with only slight differences. The sneaker boasts a white-based Foamposite upper with black accents and leather detailing. Very subtle hits of metallic silver are found via the embroidery on the tongue as well as the mini Swoosh near the toe. Light cobalt bliss is present via the embroidery on the tongue and back heel pulls tabs, with a racer blue-colored insole giving off that OG mid 90s vibe. All of this sits atop a full translucent gum outsole.
After being delayed from its original February release, the Nike Air Foamposite One All-Star White Black is now set to drop on April 7th, 2023. It will be available at Nike, via the SNKRS app, and at select retailers worldwide, both in-store and online. Coming in full-family sizing, retail is set at $240 for men.
