The Nike Air Foamposite One was among the most coveted basketball sneakers from the mid-90s. It took ten years for Nike to finally retro it, and when they did so, the sneaker dominated the market for years. Countless pairs came and went, which led to a decrease in the popularity of the Foamposite. While Nike didn't vault the sneaker completely, over the past few years, they have significantly lowered the number of colorways released to only a handful (not counting kids' exclusives).
Even though the Nike Air Foamposite One is less hyped than it once was, NSW's recent approach to bringing back sought-after pairs has been successful. We saw Metallic Red and Anthracite return in 2023, with the Eggplant pair right around the corner. In addition to the OG Royal dropping later this year, a new colorway is set for Holiday 2024, a pair that would fit right in with the most popular retro colorways.
The Nike Air Foamposite One Metallic Red Bronze is closing out the year, a twist on the classic Metallic Copper pair. Coming in OG-style colorblocking, Metallic Red Bronze adorns the Foamposite shell, branding throughout, stripe down the tongue, and stripes on the pull tabs. The rest of the upper is covered in black. Rounding things out is an icy translucent outsole.
The Nike Air Foamposite One Metallic Red Bronze is set to release in Holiday 2024. They will be available via Nike, SNKRS, and select retailers online and in-store in the DMV area. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $230. Download the Sole Retriever Mobile app for the latest information on this and other Air Jordan releases.
