With the 2024 Summer Olympics fast approaching, Nike is gearing up to celebrate the global athletic event in style. Set to return are sneakers with a patriotic twist as part of its Olympic-inspired footwear Collection. One of the highlights is a kids' exclusive Nike Air Foamposite One, set to return just in time for the games. Alongside this Foamposite, we can expect Olympic-themed versions of other beloved models like the Uptempo, Air Max 1, and Air Jordan 6.
The Nike Air Foamposite One Olympic (GS) features a patriotic color scheme identical to the pair released for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. The sneaker showcases a combination of white, obsidian, and red, with metallic gold accents adding an Olympic flair. The upper is predominantly covered in white Foamposite material, offering durability and a sleek appearance.
Obsidian shades adorn the nubuck eyestays, mesh tongue, cotton laces, and mesh collar, providing a bold contrast to the white base. Red hues pop on the sockliner, enhancing the overall design. At the same time, Penny Hardaway's signature 1 Cent logo on the tongue and the spine of the tongue are coated in metallic gold, symbolizing the prestige of the Olympic Games. The sneaker is finished with an icy blue semi-translucent rubber outsole, which features a red Swoosh and black traction pods for superior grip and performance.
The Nike Air Foamposite One Olympic (GS) will release on June 1, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in kids’ sizing, the retail price is set at $190 for GS pairs and $105 for PS sizes.
