Nike is known for its endless iterations of the Air Force 1, with this philosophy continuing into 2023. As of late, pairs have popped up that take on vintage-like vibes like the recent “Split” renditions or the AF1 Low Jewel “White Red.” For the newest entry into the AF1 family, a combo of vintage and color appears on the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Athletic Department” White Red.
Like other “Athletic Department” colorways, seen on models like the Dunk Low and Dunk High, a predominantly neutral upper contrasts with red accents. The mudguard, toebox, eyestays, and heel overlay on this "White Red" colorway are all crafted from white leather, while the quarter panel is made from a red mesh material. The mini Swoosh on the vamp and Nike Air-branded tongue tag are covered in this accenting hit of red with a golden metallic hit seen on the AF1-branded lace dubrae. Nike’s Athletic Dept. logo appears on the insole, with vintage-like Nike branding on the heel tab. Rounding out the look is the sail rubber midsole paired with a red rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Athletic Department White Red will be released in 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
