As menacing as the All-Black Forces are, Nike still brings us new versions of the simple Air Force 1 design. Recent reworks of the Triple Black colorway include the Vanta Black, drawing inspiration from the darkest material on Earth, and the Black Perforations, which added perforated leather to the entire upper. Adding to the material changes for the silhouette, Nike has given the all-black AF1 Low a Carbon Fiber makeover.
Maintaining the stealthy all-black look, this new AF1 comes coated in a synthetic carbon fiber material across all of its paneling. This design covers the mudguard, toebox, eyestays, midfoot, Swoosh, heel, and collar. Stark black laces rest above the nylon tongue and feature a metallic silver AF1-branded lace dubrae, the only non-black hit on the sneaker besides the Nike Air text on the insole. The other branding details, found along the tongue tag and heel, stick to tonal shades of black. Underfoot sits a black rubber midsole with AIR branding on the heel and a black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Carbon Fiber will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
