2023 was a big year for the estate of Kobe Bryant. Vanessa Bryant has continued her partnership with Nike, releasing the second Mambacita-themed pair with the Kobe 4 Protro Gigi. Following suit was the debut of the Halo series with the introduction of the Kobe 8 Protro, as well as the announcement of the first Nike Kobe brand universities. Next up for the Nike Kobe line is a slew of releases, such as the Reverse Grinch, Venice Beach, Italian Camo, Philly, and more. Adding to this list is an all-new Kobe-themed Nike Air Force 1 Low.
The latest Nike Air Force 1 Low Kobe Bryant edition comes in a Los Angeles-themed white, varsity maize, and varsity purple colorway. Contrary to early reports, this pair is an all-new look rather than a pair we have seen in the past. Resembling a player-exclusive pair of Air Force 1 Mids worn by Kobe during the 2002-03 NBA season, this pair features a white-based, all-leather build. Varsity Maize is present via the Swoosh on the sides, the tongue tag, the back heel tab, insoles, branding on the midsole, and a solid rubber outsole. Varsity Purple is seen via the branding throughout, as well as embroidered around the Swoosh on the sides. More Kobe branding is found via the tongue tag with his signature resting below the Nike Air text.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Kobe Bryant was originally set to release in April 2024 but has since been pushed back to December 6, 2024. Expect a release through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $150.
