For Nike, their Air Force 1 silhouette has played a massive role in terms of the company’s growth on top of it being the canvas on which many playful designs can shine through. Like many gradeschool exclusive sneakers, the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low “Player One” brings us back to the arcade with its array of bright neon colors.
Dressed in an all-leather build, the sneaker does don a white-based upper, though the aforementioned neon shades as well as a “1” graphic on the heel helps convey the video game theme. Around the vamp and eyestays, a bright saturated blue accents a salmon lace dubrae and a white-on-white lace and tongue combo. Atop this tongue sits a Nike branded tag, though it deviates from the standard design and instead adds a basketball graphic similar to that of an old-school video game. Along the midfoot, the white Nike Swoosh gets over-stitching details in volt green, matching the heel tab and insole that hosts black Nike Air text. Underfoot, a white AF1 midsole with blue “AIR” branding gets paired with a pale green rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Player One GS is slated to release this Holiday 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming exclusively in gradeschool sizing, the retail price is set at $95.
