The iconic Air Force 1 Low silhouette is no longer the top choice for hooping, but Nike still pays homage to the sneaker’s roots with colorways throughout the year. For this latest rendition of the Air Force 1, a sail-based upper with snakeskin accents and basketball motifs appears on the “Sail Snake” colorway.
Smooth leather construction on the toebox, mudguard, and heel overlay impart a timeless feel for this AF1. In contrast, the addition of faux snakeskin leather on the eyelets gives it a contemporary twist. This snakeskin theme continues on the suede quarter panel and heel tab, adding texture and depth. Contrasting the upper, a black/grey Swoosh stands out with its snakeskin finish. The tongue tag features "X" and "O" detailing, a tribute to basketball strategy symbols, and the insole hosts a graphic reinforcing this sporting homage. To complete the upper, a golden metallic lace dubrae is placed near the vamp. The sail midsole and outsole, contrasted by orange accent stitching, give the shoe a pleasing finish.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Sail Snake will release this fall through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
