Nike has big plans for next year’s celebration of the Chinese New Year, specifically a collection of sneakers commemorating the Year of the Snake. Pairs across the brand’s lineup have been previewed, from multiple Air Force 1 Lows to the Dunk Low and a pack of Air Jordan models. A new kids' exclusive colorway is added to the Air Force 1's nod to the Year of the Snake.
Like the aforementioned Dunk Low and the two Air Force 1 Lows, this kid's exclusive version of Bruce Kilgore's AF1 sees the same motifs and added details to pay homage to 2025's Chinese zodiac. Light neutral hues of grey land along the mudguard, eyestays, and heel, while olive accents hit the Swoosh, heel tab, and quilted sockliner. On the base sits an off-white-shaded leather visible on the toe and midfoot.
References to the Chinese New Year and the Year of the Snake include various details. The tongue tag and insole both feature a custom Nike logo that integrates a snake design into the logo, coming in a color palette reminiscent of what you'd expect to see for CNY celebrations. Another reference to the zodiac is the red snake embroidery along the tail end of the Swoosh. Everything comes finished with a white midsole and an olive outsole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Year of the Snake GS will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in GS sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
