There have been plenty of Zoom Vomero 5 offerings in the last year, as mesh runners have become the go-to for most sneakerheads. Even though the colder months are upon us (that’s not a problem with the Vomero 5 Roam), previews of pairs that will hit shelves in Spring 2025 continue to appear online. Following official looks at pairs like the Black Metallic Red and Dark Smoke Grey, Nike has dressed the silhouette in another neutral color scheme — Black Gum.
As with most Vomero 5 colors, this pair features a wide-spaced mesh base in a stark black hue that comes placed on the toe and collar. Suede paneling hits the mudguard, vamp, and eyestays, continuing the black-based color scheme. Even more black hues find a home on the TPU cages along the midfoot and heel, as well as the leather panels on the toebox and surrounding the midfoot cage.
Contrasting the black shades is a coconut milk-shaded leather Swoosh, running across the TPU on the midfoot. Nike Vomero 5 text takes on a tonal finish along the black woven tongue label, matching the shades of the mesh tongue and the lace set. Finishing the design is a black foam midsole with Zoom Air and Cushlon foam paired with a gum rubber outsole.
The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Black Gum will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
