Going 40 years strong, the Nike Air Force 1 has remained a cultural icon for a large part of its history. Aside from the standard model, The Swoosh has introduced us to plenty of redesigns that infuse Bruce Kilgore’s original design language with updated tech, such as the AF1 React which has appeared in a clean "Black White" makeup.
Keeping the iconic shape of the AF1, the silhouette features a typical leather construction on the front half, while the quarter panel and beyond come in a rip-stop nylon material. Black-on-black leather appears on the mudguard, toebox, vamp, and eyestays, with accenting white details coming via the mini Swoosh on the mudguard and white piping on the eyestays. Working back along the midfoot, double Swoosh action lands on the lateral side with black and white shades, sitting atop a semi-translucent ripstop material with white trimming surrounding the edges. Underfoot, a black-on-black sole houses your typical Air cushioning in the heel while the rest of the forefoot gets React foam for extra comfort.
The Nike Air Force 1 React Black White is slated to release this Holiday 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
