Initially released in 1987 and created by the design legend Tinker Hatfield, the Nike Air Max 1 was the first sneaker to feature visible Air. One of the greatest and most iconic silhouettes of all time, the Air Max 1 has seen thousands of releases over its 35+ year history. We've recently seen Field Purple, Sail Coconut Milk, and Olympic versions that will be released in the future. Now, we look at another upcoming pair dubbed Burgundy Crush Picante Red.
The Nike Air Max 1 Burgundy Crush Picante Red comes in a summit white, burgundy crush, and picante red colorway. Materials such as mesh, tumbled leather, and suede comprise the upper. The mesh underlays, which also dress the tongue and lining, come in white, as do the laces. Picante Red is found via the leather overlays, providing a bright pop of color. Burgundy Crush finishes the rest of the upper, covering the mudguard, Swoosh on the sides, top plastic eyelets, insoles, and the Nike Air branding on the tongue tag and back heel. A Max Air cushioned white midsole sits atop a burgundy crush and white solid rubber outsole, completing the design.
The Nike Air Max 1 Burgundy Crush Picante Red will release in Summer 2024. They will be available via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $140.
