Nike's partnership with basketball legend Charles Barkley has produced some iconic sneaker designs. The Air Max 2 CB 94, Barkley's signature shoe, is the most popular of the bunch, and 2023 has seen pairs like the OG Black White Purple colorway make a return. As we approach 2024, Nike has decided to grace the sneaker community with another iteration of this beloved silhouette: the Light Smoke Grey Barely Green colorway.
Taking the classic combination of nubuck and mesh, this upcoming Air Max 2 CB 94 version boasts a dominant light smoke grey. Black is strategically placed on the tongue, nylon straps, the distinctive circular cutouts on the overlays, and the heel tab, creating a balanced contrast. The barely green tone offers a fresh touch, accentuating the tongue and the straps while adorning the Nike Air branding on the heel tab. The midsole comes in black with a barely green Air Max unit in the heel, while a harmonious blend of black and barely green on the outsole completes the design.
The Nike Air Max 2 CB 94 Light Smoke Grey Barely Green will release on March 25, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
