2025 marks the 30th Anniversary of the Sergio Lozano-designed Nike Air Max 95. One of the most popular silhouettes of all time, Nike plans to go BIG (pun intended) on this milestone. With the exciting news that the coveted Stash x Nike Air Max 95 is set to return, many Air Max fans have been eagerly awaiting details regarding the initial rollout of the AM 95 for 2025. As previously stated, Nike will give us an appetizer with the Stash collab before our full-course meal officially begins, just in time for Air Max Day 2025. Following in the footsteps of the Air Max 1, the Air Max 95 is next in line to receive the Big Bubble treatment. You heard that right: the Nike Air Max 95 is coming back in its original Big Bubble form! No more complaining about the Max Air units being small next year! The good news is that this design will not be a one-and-done situation; plenty of colorways are set to be released throughout the year, sporting the OG Big Bubble design.
After a limited Lost Sketch iteration for Air Max Day, the GR rollout for the Air Max 95 OG will begin. Kicking things off, the original Neon colorway. Releasing in April 2025, the Nike Air Max 95 OG Neon will be the most accurate retro to its original predecessor from 1995. The classic gradient fade design adorns the white and grey upper as it fades to black. Neon accents are found in their usual places, while classic PSI labeling will adorn the bottom of the outsole. Unfortunately, the only design element missing from the OG is the bubbles' labeling. But to make up for it, Nike is covering the back heel Max Air units with a removable sticker, adding some fun to this reworked design.
In addition to the PSI labeling and peel-off sticker, the Nike Air Max 95 OG will come in OG-style packaging. We will have to wait and see if this will be a true repackaging in the style of the 1995 box or a reimagining like the 2020 retro.
