From the Air Jordan 1 High to the Dunk Low, Georgetown University's official school colors have been a sneaker staple for many years now, and it looks like, for the first time, they'll be venturing towards the AM97 for the Nike Air Max 97 SE "Medium Grey Ice Blue Obsidian." While we've seen plenty of coveted colorways hit the Christian Tresser classic over the past few weeks, including the "Hangul Day," "Kiss My Airs," and "Moving Company," this has got to be one of our favorites.
Split into two parts, the top half of this Air Max 97 boasts a leather and mesh construction which switches between ice blue and obsidian, while the bottom half opts for a medium grey mudguard that wraps around the entire upper. Black woven pull tabs make their way across the heel and tongue, and speaking of which, you'll find a suede patch here complete with the American sportswear company's legendary Swoosh logo. Down below, the midsole has been left all white, and it's fitted with a full length Max Air unit for unrivaled comfort and cushioning with every step. The AM97 is then finished off with 3M so you can flex even in low light conditions.
Releasing sometime in 2023 exclusively in women's sizes, the Nike Air Max 97 SE Medium Grey Ice Blue Obsidian W will retail for $175 and will be available at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select online and in-store retailers.
