While satin isn't a material that's traditionally used with sneakers, the industry's biggest brands have begun to experiment with it more and more. From the Air Jordan 1 High all the way to the Air Force 1 Low, the unique material has made an appearance on some of Nike's most iconic silhouettes, and now, it's heading towards a '90s icon in the form of the Nike Air Max 97 SE "Red Satin." Made exclusively for the ladies out there, make sure you read on to find out everything that we know so far.
Appearing in a red hot hue, this Air Max 97 works on top of a fiery gym red satin base and is overlaid by complementary leather paneling throughout. Clean white Swooshes are embroidered across the tongue tag and sidewalls, while 3M accents are infused throughout the upper so you can strut your stuff even in low light conditions. Underfoot, you'll find a full length Max Air midsole that's as comfortable as it gets, and the water ripple-inspired silhouette is finished off with a black rubber outsole, finalizing the design.
As you might have already expected, the Nike Air Max 97 SE Red Satin W is set to release sometime in 2023 exclusively in women's sizes. Dropping at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select online and in-store retailers, they will retail for $175 each.
