Air Max heads rejoice as Nike is blessing the famous line with plenty of new releases and silhouettes in 2022, thanks to the 35th anniversary of the line. We’ve already seen early looks at the Nike Air Max Scorpion, though a semi-traditional offering has landed on shelves in other colorways, the Nike Air Max Flyknit Racer, now appearing in an Elemental Gold.
Borrowing the upper of the Flyknit Racer and the sole unit of the Air Max Pre-Day, the silhouette gets intertwined with mixes of gold and white throughout the knit pattern across the upper. Running along the midfoot is a hyper royal Nike Swoosh, located just below the elemental gold leather eyestays. The laces match the aforementioned eyestays while contrasting the black knit tongue they sit atop. More black hits come via the collar, sockliner, and pull tab, though the insole gets covered in blue with a white retro Nike pinwheel logo. Back on the heel, a perforated leather heel overlay gets the elemental gold treatment. Rounding out the look is the two-tone white and black midsole with an exposed Air unit in the heel and the black rubber outsole with a waffle traction pattern.
The Nike Air Max Flyknit Racer Elemental Gold is slated to release this Holiday 2022 season through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
