From the Air Max 90 all the way to the Air Max 97, this year Nike has been releasing a wide collection of sneakers that pay homage to the architect of Air, M. Frank Rudy. Without this cushioning technology, the Oregon-based sportswear company would definitely not be the household name that it is today, and so to celebrate it even further, the brand has added another silhouette to the ever-growing pack with the Nike Air Max Plus "Barometer" - and here's everything that we know so far.
Taking on the iconic late-'90s model, this Air Max Plus has been dipped in a vibrant ghost green color scheme for a look that will no doubt turn heads. The mesh paneling is overlaid by a see-through caging system, and surrounded by an old royal mudguard that's made from leather and TPU. Underfoot you'll find the legendary TN Air Max midsole complete with "Est. 1998" as a nod to the year Sean McDowell introduced this shoe to the world, and of course, you can't talk about this special edition without mentioning the barometer-inspired hangtag that comes straight out of the box.
The Nike Air Max Plus Barometer releases on March 9th, 2023. Coming in men's sizes with a retail price of $180, they'll be available at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers worldwide.
