2023 marks the 25th anniversary of the Air Max Plus, and to pay homage to this massive milestone, Nike has been taking the wraps off some of the coolest colors that we've even seen. After checking out the "Mercurial XXV" and the "Quadruple Swoosh" earlier this week, as well as the A-COLD-WALL* collaboration that's on the way, we're now taking our first look at the Nike Air Max Plus "University Blue White." Featuring the Sean McDowell-designed silhouette's signature gradient effect, make sure you read on to find out everything that we know so far.
One of the latest colorways to hit the '98 icon, this Air Max Plus is painted in three different shades of blue, including university blue, deep royal blue, and ice blue. Working on top of a breathable mesh base, the model's unique full-body cage wraps around the entire upper, while a single Swoosh shoots through the laterals and medials. The mudguard is decked out in smooth leather, while plastic overlays make their way to the toe area for extra protection. Elsewhere, the laces and sockliner are dipped in a crisp white tone, and all of this sits on top of a chunky Air midsole, which is surrounded by a series of exposed bubbles for that retro look that we all know and love.
The Nike Air Max Plus University Blue White will release in men's sizes sometime in 2023. Set to launch via Nike and select retailers online and in-store, retail is set at $175.
