As we are fast approaching Air Max Day we’re all awaiting the official release of the revived “Big Bubble” iteration of the Air Max 1, however, Nike has more plans for the fictional holiday. Debuting a brand new silhouette that draws inspiration from previous Air Max sneakers, the Nike Air Max Pulse is set to hit shelves in its launch “Phantom” colorway on March 26th, though there are plenty more renditions in the pipeline. On top of a “Cobblestone” colorway, The Swoosh is dressing the Air Max Pulse in a clean “Black Pure Platinum” combo.
Throughout its split-based design, we see a mixture of the titular black and pure platinum shades with the mesh portions coming to us in black. These land on the toebox, midfoot, tongue, and collar while the lower half of the upper gets covered in pure platinum-shaded leather. Swoosh branding flips between the two colors along the midfoot while a brand new Air Max logo is spotted on the tongue and back on the black TPU heel counter. Underfoot sits a two-tone foam midsole with the front half coming in white and the back half taking on a mesh overlay just above the Air Max 270 unit. Rounding out the design is the two-tone black and white rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max Pulse Black Pure Platinum is set to release May 15, 2023, through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
