The Swoosh brings forth a new rendition of the Air Max on a yearly basis with 2022 featuring the love-it-or-hate-it Nike Air Max Scorpion. While this model took things to the extreme and featured an all-new design process due to the Covid-19 pandemic, 2023 will see the more contemporary Nike Air Max Pulse debut in the “Phantom” colorway on Air Max Day. Following this colorway, we’re expecting a slew of iterations, and the “Cobblestone” is one of the cleanest yet.
Taking on a two-material upper composed of mesh on the top half and a large leather overlay on the bottom half, the silhouette features shades of grey, black, and icy blue throughout its design. Slightly different shades of grey take over the main two materials on the upper while we see the mesh tongue, lace set, and sockliner come in a stealthy black finish. For branding, all but the mini-Swoosh on the mesh portion of the midfoot take on a silverish-grey finish while the TPU heel counter hosts a new Air Max logo that gets debossed into the material. Underfoot sits a two-tone white and grey midsole with the front half constructed out of foam while the heel gets a mesh portion and an Air Max 270 bubble. Finishing the design is the tri-toned grey, cobblestone, and icy blue rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max Pulse Cobblestone is set to release in 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
