One of Nike’s most innovative lines would have to fall under the Air Max umbrella, releasing a newly designed model almost yearly. With the line celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2022, Nike has blessed us with two new silhouettes, the Air Max Flyknit Racer and the Air Max Scorpion, the latter of which has just appeared in an all-over Wheat colorway.
Coming constructed out of Flyknit on the upper, the elevated silhouette comes completely covered in tonal wheat shades from head to toe. Various knit patterns run throughout with the collar portion coming in a loose, shaggy knit. Cord’s act as the eyestays for a set of tonal wheat laces, stopping below the dot pattern branding atop the tongue. Along the midfoot, a Nike Swoosh comes in an accenting brown shade. Underfoot is where your eyes are immediately drawn to as a full-length Air Unit is exposed and doubled stacked in a semi-translucent wheat color. Rounding out the look is a rubber outsole with a two-tone finish.
The Nike Air Max Scorpion Wheat is slated to release in November 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is TBD.
