Where do we even begin with the Nike Air Max Scorpion Flyknit "Wolf Grey?" Unveiled earlier this year, this has got to be one of the most intriguing Nike models of modern times. With a design that has been specifically made to turn heads, this futuristic new colorway actually borrows cues from the past - and here’s what you need to know.
In many ways, the Air Max Scorpion Flyknit is the successor to the Air VaporMax. Featuring a full Flyknit upper that’s dipped in a wolf grey hue, this fades down into dark smoke grey around the mudguards and chunky Air midsole. Contrasting volt accents make their way to the Swoosh branding, and at this point it becomes quite clear that this AMS actually nods to the iconic Air Max 95 OG “Neon.” To round it all off, Nike’s retro Sunburst motif is printed on the tongue, while a digital font hits the tongue for a juxtaposition of eras.
