Unless you've been living under a rock over the past six months, you'd know that hype surrounding the Air More Uptempo is currently at an all-time high. Considered by many old school sneakerheads to be one of the best basketball shoes ever created, famously worn by Scottie Pippen himself during the 1995-1996 NBA season, the vintage model has made a somewhat unexpected comeback thanks to fans of the retro sneaker trend. With special editions like the "Valentine's Day" and exclusive collaborations with the likes of the Serena Williams Design Crew currently on the way, we're now taking our first look at another exclusive colorway with the Nike Air More Uptempo "White Metallic Silver Clear" - and here's everything that we know so far.
Featuring a full leather construction that feels premium to the touch, the upper is painted in a crisp white hue and is decorated with the Air More Uptempo's signature oversized "AIR" branding across the lateral and medial sides. Chunky eyelets and pull tabs offer up a rugged look and feel, and around the front and back you'll find a pair of metallic silver Swooshes, the latter of which comes in a Jewel form. This chromatic aesthetic extends towards the Air midsole underfoot, which is equipped with a series of exposed bubbles and finished with an icy blue outsole, finalizing the design.
A part of the "Chrome" Pack which already includes two Air Force 1s, the Nike Air More Uptempo White Metallic Silver Clear W will be exclusively available in women's sizes when it releases in Summer 2023. Retailing for $180 via Nike and select retailers globally, let us know what you think of this upcoming colorway, and make sure you keep it locked on Sole Retriever's Twitter and Mobile App for the hottest sneaker and streetwear news, releases, and raffles.
