The Nike Air Zoom GT Jump 2 is the second Jump model in the Greater Than (GT) series, upgrading its predecessor's high-top construction and performance technology. Accompanied by the mid-cut GT Hustle 2 and the low-top GT Cut 3, the GT series presents a full range of on-court offerings. The model officially debuted in July 2023 and has since been released in various colorways, with a unique Olympic Safari variation ready to launch this summer.
Releasing to coincide with the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, the Nike Air Zoom GT Jump 2 Olympic Safari contains a haul of technology for a hoops shoe, with three instances of Zoom Air (the bottom layer of the upper and two forefoot units) and React foam at the heel for soft landing. The molded heel also features an engineered curvature for energy absorption, providing maximum support for those continuous impacts when leaping for dunks or defensive protection.
This colorway, from the midsole to the eyestays, is canvassed in a safari print first introduced by Tinker Hatfield in 1987. The tongue, a subtle white mesh, contains a custom Nike logo, while the midsole strikes with a volt and orange treatment contrasting the design's black and white print. The model is rounded off with an all-white solid rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Zoom GT Jump 2 Olympic Safari will release in Summer 2024 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, retail is set at $195.
