For over thirty years fans have been begging Nike to bring the Air Ship out of the archives. Petitions, documentaries, and editorials were made and still no news of a retro came from the Swooshes camp. That all finally changed in 2020 when Jordan Brand finally brought the Nike Air Ship out for two very limited drops. It kicked off in white and red as a part of the New Beginnings Pack, and seemingly ended with the “Banned” edition. Since then, things have been quiet in regards to one of the most iconic Nike basketball silhouettes from the 80s. That all changes today.
Fresh for 2022, Jordan Brand is bringing the Nike Air Ship back for another set of releases. Two classic iterations, one in “Game Royal” and the other in “Team Orange” are set for end of the year drops. Staying true to the OG, both pairs sport white-based leather uppers with orange and blue accents found via the Swoosh on the sides, collar, branding on the tongue tag, and outsoles of each, respectively.
The Jordan Air Ship in both Game Royal and Team Orange are set to release in late 2022. They will drop at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, in-store and online. Coming in men’s sizes, retail is set at $150. Keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
