In 1987, Bo Jackson was dominating in both MLB and NFL fields with ease. Nike chose to develop a sneaker that was fitting for the baseball diamond, football field, and even on the track with the creation of the cross trainer. It started with the Nike Air Trainer 1 and the Air Trainer SC High soon followed. Since its inception, multiple versions of the Air Trainer SC have been released. Coming on the heels of the line’s 35th Anniversary, the Nike Air Trainer SC High goes “Outdoor.”
Coming in an earth-toned color palette, the Nike Air Trainer SC High “Outdoor” colorway is represented with the uses of sandy tans, browns, and green across the upper. The base of the model comes in a tan canvas surrounded by brown suede overlays. Hits of green are present on the canvas overlay across the toebox as well as the shaggy tongue. Across the midfoot, two stripes are present with brown piping that works its way up to the plastic eyelets, providing lockdown support. Yellow corduroy Swoosh logos on the sides are accented nicely by the yellow contrast stitching seen on the stripes on the sides. Working down to the midsole, an almost entirely white Phylon midsole is broken up by hits of the same green and yellow used on the upper towards the heel portion. Completing the look is a whited-out semi-translucent rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Trainer SC High is set to release in 2022. It will launch at Nike as well as select Nike Sportswear retailers both in-store and online. They will retail for $130 in men's sizes. Keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App to stay up to date on this release as it gets closer.
