As the Lunar New Year approaches, Nike is all set to embrace the spirit of the Chinese Year of the Dragon. The company, known for its innovative designs and cultural celebrations through footwear, is adding a special touch to its diverse range of models, including the Nike Air Zoom GT Hustle 2, as part of the Year of the Dragon series. This series highlights the GT Hustle 2 and also features other notable designs like the Ja 1 and a revisited version of the Nike KD 4, each embodying the dragon's essence uniquely.
The Nike Air Zoom GT Hustle 2 Year of the Dragon stands out with its blend of traditional aesthetics and modern sneaker technology. The design incorporates a harmonious mix of white and cream hues on the upper, accented with striking red, black, and blue details. The mudguard and toebox edge are adorned in creamy shades, while the midfoot and heel sections are pristine white. The tongue showcases the iconic Just Do It slogan, framed by a red leather patch, adding a bold contrast to the cream background.
One of the most captivating features of the Air Zoom GT Hustle 2 Year of the Dragon is the redesigned Swoosh design on the midfoot, accompanied by a special Year of the Dragon tag, symbolizing strength and prosperity. Additional dragon-themed elements are found on the insole, the inner lining of the tongue, and the heel tab, each meticulously crafted to celebrate the dragon's symbolic significance in Chinese culture. Completing the design is a white midsole paired with a semi-translucent rubber outsole, ensuring both style and functionality.
The Nike Air Zoom GT Hustle 2 Year of the Dragon will release in Spring 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. As of now, the retail price has yet to be announced.
