Nike has been around for over 50 years! In that period, they have released thousands of sneakers and millions of colorways. One would think they are running out of ideas, but that isn't the case. While they occasionally rehash designs or inspiration, they always find a new and unique way to tell a themed story. Take waffles, for example. We have seen various Nike releases with waffle or breakfast food themes. Hell, a waffle iron was used to create the first outsole designed by Bill Bowerman!
Earlier this year, Nike Sportswear (NSW) dropped a Waffle Pack featuring the Dunk Low and Blazer Mid 77. For Fall 2024, NSW is back with its Waffle 2.0 Pack, continuing the theme for the back half of the year. This collection includes new colorways of the Dunk Low and the Blazer. While we have seen the Strawberry Waffle Dunk Low, this is the first time we have seen the Blazer.
The Nike Blazer Mid 77 Waffle 2.0 comes in a wheat, vivid sulfur, team gold, black, and sail colorway. The wheat-based upper is covered in premium leather. Various types of suede accentuate the design, as seen via the overlays. A waffle-like Swoosh on the sides is dressed in hairy suede, and the back heel tab is made of hemp. All this sits atop a classic vulcanized sail-colored rubber sole, providing the classic look we've all come to love about the Blazer.
The Nike Blazer Mid 77 Waffle 2.0 will release on August 20, 2024, via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, retail is set at $115.
