When you think of Nike, you immediately think of Nike Air. The groundbreaking technology former aerospace engineer Frank Rudy designed entirely changed how sneakers are made. In 1977, when he pitched the idea of Air cushioning in sneakers to Phil Knight, the Nike co-founder could've never imagined where this technology would take him over 45 years later. To coincide with the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France, Nike is set to release the Blueprint Pack, featuring Nike's best Air innovations on the market today.
The Nike Blueprint Pack features footwear from various categories, including basketball, running, sportswear, track, and soccer. Each pair is designed to optimize Air using cutting-edge technology and digital capabilities for more efficiency. Included in this collection are the following styles: Air Max DN, Air Zoom Pegasus 41, Pegasus EasyOn, Air Zoom GT Cut 3, Air Zoom GT Hustle 3, Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% 3, Infinity RN 4, ZoomX Invincible RN 3, Air Zoom Maxfly 2, Air Zoom Victory 2, ZoomX Dragonfly 2, and the Mercurial Superfly 10.
Inspiration comes from Bill Bowerman and his obsession with enabling the best possible athlete performance. Nike designers took cues from his sketchbooks, his use of a ballpoint pen, and his "dot" Swoosh design, which he put on athletes' spikes to save weight from stitching a logo, as well as classic Nike colors. Diving into the footwear, the Nike Blueprint Pack will debut the all-new GT Hustle 3.
The Nike GT Hustle 3 is the third entry in the Greater Than series, representing the Hustle line. During the wear-testing process, the Nike Sport Research Lab (NSRL) found that athletes consume less oxygen while wearing the silhouette than its predecessor, the GT Hustle 2. This increases energy return while keeping the sneaker lightweight and comfortable at the same time, making it perfect for any player.
The Nike Blueprint Pack is set to release on July 3, 2024. Styles will be available via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in full-family sizing depending on the model, retail varies from $75 to $285.
