As Halloween approaches, sneaker brands are rolling out festive offerings, and Nike Basketball is leading the charge with spooky takes on their signature silhouettes. Known for embracing holiday themes, Nike has decked out its most popular models for Halloween, and this year, Devin Booker's first signature sneaker, the Nike Book 1, is joining the lineup. Alongside Book’s take on a Halloween sneaker, Ja Morant’s new Nike Ja 2 is also getting a spooky makeover.
The Nike Book 1 Halloween dons a primarily black upper with cracked leather detailing that gives the silhouette an aged and worn look, perfect for the spooky season. Orange accents bring in Halloween’s classic colors, appearing on a plastic eyelet, the Book branding on the tongue, and the Frankenstein-style stitching along the tongue tag. Frankenstein stitching extends to the white-edged Swoosh, creating a hand-stitched effect that adds to the eerie aesthetic. On the heel, the Chapter One text receives a Halloween-inspired update with a jagged font, matching the creepy theme. Rounding out the design is a white midsole containing Zoom Air in the heel and full-length Cushon 2.0 foam paired with a tonal outsole, which may feature a glow-in-the-dark finish.
The Nike Book 1 Halloween will release on October 30, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
