With a legacy that spans over decades, Nike has firmly established itself as an innovator, churning out silhouettes that often transcend their sporty origins and become lifestyle staples. With the shift towards comfort-centric designs in the fashion landscape, Nike introduced the Calm Collection, starting with the Calm Slide. But the evolution didn't stop there, as we’ve been introduced to the Calm Mule this season. Before Nike US can officially release pairs, we’re already getting looks at what Spring 2024 has in store for us, including the Calm Mule Sail.
This forthcoming addition to the Nike Calm series seamlessly blends simplicity with function. The Nike Calm Mule Sail is meticulously crafted from foam, akin to its predecessor, the Calm Slide. The minimalist design, however, does not compromise on visual appeal or comfort. Embraced in a serene sail shade, it’s a nod to contemporary fashion sensibilities that gravitate toward neutral palettes. Strategic perforations on the medial side enhance breathability, ensuring that style does not come at the cost of comfort. One of its standout features is the lockdown strap on the heel, employing velcro for a snug fit, reminiscent of the secure feel of some of Nike's athletic offerings. The decision to adopt the Air Force 1 Flyknit's rubber outsole is a tribute to the classic and a testament to its durability.
The Nike Calm Mule Sail W will release Spring 2024 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $60.
