Since being introduced in 2023, the Nike Calm Slide has held its place in Nike’s lineup of slide offerings, even if it didn’t take off in the same manner as other competitors’ entries into the foam-based slip-on category. Even still, The Swoosh is pushing forward with new colorways of the sneaker, some made in collaboration with signature athletes like A’ja Wilson and a pack of Realtree Camo-covered colors. Now, lifetime Nike athlete LeBron James will get his colorway of the Calm Slide.
Although no images of the pair have emerged, Sole Retriever can report that the colorway will feature mint foam, cerise, light lemon twist, Aquarius blue, ice peach, and Persian violet. The combo of these vibrant colors points to a South Beach-inspired colorway of the Calm Slide. For those unfamiliar, LeBron’s signature series of sneakers with Nike began to receive South Beach colorways after The King joined the Miami Heat in 2010, starting with the now-legendary Nike LeBron 8. It's also possible the pair is another addition to the Monopoly collection, as it features an almost identical color scheme to the Monopoly x LeBron 22 Tie-Dye.
The Calm Slide is much less complex than LeBron's performance basketball sneakers, meaning this large mix of colors likely means a tie-dye effect is applied to the recycled foam upper. We may also see James's logo or Monopoly's logo placed on the forefoot, similar to the Team USA colorway of the Calm Slide for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
The Monopoly x LeBron James x Nike Calm Slide South Beach will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $50.
