Style is still a focal point for most new silhouettes, and with the Nike Calm Slide dropping earlier this year, it was only a matter of time before we saw one of the most iconic colorways cover the model. Whether high fashion shoes like the Christian Louboutin "Red Bottoms" or an alternative option like The Big Red Boots by MSCHF, All Red Everything will never go out of style. With that said, here's the Nike Calm Slide University Red.
Until now, the Nike Calm Slide has been tame with its color offerings, although that is about to change with the introduction of the Volt and Bright Mandarin editions. Adding to the mix is University Red, a powerful color that demands respect. It is intense and tied to strong emotions like love, rage, lust, and anger. Not that you will be angry in these; they have all the same bells and whistles of that minimalist vibe that Nike is going for.
Covered in all-red, the Nike Calm Slide University Red sports one solid body of soft yet responsive foam and water-friendly (not waterproof) foam that dries fast. The textured yet comfortable footbed midfoot grips the foot without being overwhelming. The outsole has full-length rubber with the outer circumference of the Slide rocking an AF1-style base to keep traction and stability.
The Nike Calm Slide University Red will release Spring 2024, through Nike and select NSW retailers both online and in-store. Available in men’s sizes, retail is set at $50.
