While Foamposite sneakers and their derivatives like the Flightposite suffered a setback in hype, sneakerheads are warming back up to the category. Multiple hit Air Foamposite One colorways are headed our way in the next year, including the iconic Galaxy rendition, while others, like the Flightposite, are set to make a return. Before this, Nike revived the Clogposite, a slip-on variant of the Flightposite that initially launched in the early 2000s and saw little success. After the Bright Cactus, Light Orewood Brown, Chrome, and Supreme collaboration launches, images of a Metallic Gold colorway have appeared.
Directly referencing the Flightposite Metallic Gold, which will begin the model's revival this Holiday season, the pair chops the collar from the b-ball classic. A Foamposite material in an iridescent metallic gold that almost appears in a greenish hue covers most of the upper, while the forefoot region comes in a black neoprene material. More black hits the sockliner and footbed, which features a contrasting white Swoosh. More Swoosh branding is found via the neoprene along the lateral toe and a debossed logo in the Foamposite material near the chrome shank on the midfoot. Rounding out the design is the black rubber outsole.
The Nike Clogposite Metallic Gold will release on November 1, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
