An enduring classic, the Nike Cortez has seen many variations since its 1972 debut. This year, Nike is adding the model to the “Supersonic Pack,” a series that takes inspiration from music.
The Cortez enters the Supersonic pack in a crisp black-and-white colorway. It uses the same color scheme as the Dunk Low and features the same graphic designs. The upper primarily sports white shades and uses traditional Cortez materials. The iconic Swoosh and the heel tab in black bear a 3M reflective finish. A highlight of the colorway is the Swoosh-laden soundwave graphic. The insole further accentuates the theme, with the new logo and a graphic representing a speaker setup. The black and white midsole pairs well with the cream outsole to comple the look.
The Nike Cortez Supersonic will release this fall through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. The shoe will be available in men's sizing, with a retail price set at $100.
