As we approach the end of 2024, we’re starting to get previews of what Nike and others have in store for us to kick off the new year. One of the earliest celebrations is Valentine’s Day, with footwear brands prepping collections that affirm that love is in the air. So far, early images of pairs from Nike that celebrate Valentine’s Day have appeared online, including sneakers like the Jordan 3, Ja 2, Air Force 1 Low, and even a kids’ exclusive Nike Cortez. However, Nike has given the ladies a treat with an exclusive colorway of the Cortez that comes in a similar theme to a recently revealed AF1.
The sneaker, featuring a mixture of leather and suede, comes with pale ivory and sail hues on its base, accenting red and pink hits. Pale Ivory suede lands on the toecap, eyelets, and heel overlay, while the base layer comes in a sail leather. Pink suede appears on the Swoosh, with the logo attached via large sail-colored stitches. Like the aforementioned AF1 Low, the heel tab here features a crocheted pink heart and an additional “handmade” doily-inspired pattern surrounding the design. Along the tongue tag and insole sits a custom heart and apple graphic with Nike branding in the center, riffing off the phrase “the apple of my eye.” The white and brown foam midsole finishes the design with a grooved pink rubber outsole.
The Nike Cortez Valentine’s Day W will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is $110.
