Nike is no stranger to the movement as the world leans toward sustainable options. The brand first launched its Cosmic Unity line in 2021, aiming to blend performance basketball with eco-conscious construction. Just this year, Nike released the third silhouette from this trailblazing line, and fans can't seem to get enough. Nike is gearing up for the holiday season with a fresh "Joy" colorway, adding a burst of color to the recycled materials that make up the Cosmic Unity 3.
The "Joy" iteration of the Cosmic Unity 3 boasts a recycled knit upper adorned in multiple shades of blue. Contrasting panels are segmented by textile elements in a deeper shade of aqua blue, which adds another layer of visual interest to the design. The sneaker is accented with pops of yellow on the nylon pull tabs, on both the tongue and heel and on embroidered graphics near the eyestays. To balance out the colorful palette, neutral whites are applied to the tongue, sockliner, and collar area. As for the underfoot, a foam midsole sports a yellow TPU element near the midfoot's mesh window, all resting on a blue rubber outsole.
The Nike Cosmic Unity 3 Joy will release Holiday 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
