Web3, NFTs, and the crypto market took the world by storm throughout the tail end of 2021 and most of 2022 with major brands finally entering into the metaverse. While Nike’s first endeavor with RTFKT aims at the premium consumer, the .SWOOSH platform gives your average person who may not be super familiar with the space an opportunity to jump into the next digital frontier while also feeling a sense of community. So far, .SWOOSH tasked users and the sneaker community as a whole with deciding the best AF1 Low of all time with the “Our Force 1” tournament, however, the platform is now asking registered .SWOOSH members to help co-create an AF1 with the “Your Force 1” contest.
.SWOOSH Studio will allow users the ability to be the creative director through a collaborative design process with a Nike designer that prioritizes creative storytelling over creative skills - if you do win the “Your Force 1” contest. Four winners will be selected, be given $5,000, a collaborative digital Air Force 1 Low, and the potential to earn royalties on the sale of the sneaker once the first .SWOOSH collection releases later down the line. The question still remains as to whether or not this collection will remain in the digital world or if we see a retail release of .SWOOSH-branded products alongside the contest winner’s designs. Winners will be selected based off of an 8-slide Instagram "mood board" that follows a structured guideline set forth by .SWOOSH.
To fully enter the contest, you must be registered on the .SWOOSH platform, have a public IG, register through this link, and follow the guidelines set forth on the .SWOOSH blog. Hurry and enter as submissions begin today, January 25th, and will end on January 29th.
