It has been nearly 40 years since Nike introduced the world to the now-iconic Nike Dunk silhouette. During its initial run as a performance basketball sneaker, the Dunk High appeared in various collegiate-inspired color schemes as part of the Be True To Your School campaign, featuring school colors nationwide. With 2025 being the 40th Anniversary of the model, it's fitting that a handful of these original colors are set to return, including the St. John’s and Syracuse.
Both of these color schemes are getting a slight redesign and are coming in low-top form. However, Nike has plans to bring back the original Nike Dunk High Michigan in OG fashion.
Michigan Wolverine colors cover the all-leather high-top Dunk with varsity maize on the toebox, midfoot panel, and collar. This yellow shade continues onto the tongue and woven tongue label before giving way to midnight navy via Nike branding. We see more midnight navy on the tumbled leather mudguard, eyestays, Swoosh, and heel overlay.
Laces continue the navy color palette, while the sockliner comes in varsity maize. The midsole below has a white finish with tonal stitching and a midnight navy rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk High Michigan releases in Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $150. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
