Over the past three years, the sneaker community has been blessed with hundreds, if not thousands, of Dunks. While each colorway is more unique than the next, one thing that links them all are their classic leather constructions. For 2023, however, it looks like the Oregon-based sportswear brand will be trying something a little different with the Nike Dunk Low "Black Canvas." Giving the '80s basketball shoe an extra versatile makeover that's made for everyday wear, here's everything that we know so far.
The first thing that you'll notice about this Dunk Low is its full nylon construction. Dropping the usual leather and suede uppers that usually grace this retro silhouette, everything has now been replaced with the synthetic fabric in a slick black hue. A complementary Nike Swoosh shoots through the lateral and medial sidewalls, and down below, the midsole has been left in a crisp white hue and lined with a black rubber outsole, offering up an Oreo-inspired aesthetic that's as tasty as it looks.
Set to release on May 2nd, 2023, the Nike Dunk Low Black Canvas will be available in men's sizes via Nike, the SNKRS app, and select online and in-store locations worldwide, with retail price of $110. As you might have already guessed, more colorways are set to arrive very soon, if you're looking for a more in-depth breakdown of the Dunk, check out our Nike Dunk Buyers Guide, and keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
