Ja Morant and Nike have prepped many colors for his latest signature sneaker, the Nike Ja 2. So far, the silhouette has been previewed in colors like the Tree Topper, Valentine’s Day, and Twelve Time. The In The Woods rendition continues with the thematic releases, shown when Nike officially unveiled the silhouette in September.
Inspired by what Morant and his family say when they're going to his grandma's house, which is where Ja made a lot of memories while he was growing up, the silhouette comes primarily coated in white hues. White mesh hits the toebox and tongue, while white shades land on the leather mudguard, the top half of the tongue, and the mesh along the medial side. Nike adds a white synthetic material surrounding the blue-shaded Swoosh for the lateral midfoot. Split-colored branding is found on the tongue tag, a purple Ja logo on the right pair, and black on the left. The quilted heel counter comes in a contrasting tan shade that matches portions of the Zoom Air-cushioned midsole. The blue-speckled paint splattered across the white and tan midsole, and the white rubber outsole finished the design.
The Nike Ja 2 In The Woods will release on January 1, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s, GS, and PS sizing, the retail price is set at $120 (men), $97 (GS), and $82 (PS).
