When it comes to Chinese New Year-inspired sneakers, Nike is certainly no stranger to them. For over a decade, the Beaverton-based sportswear giant has been releasing CNY-themed colorways every single year, and if you still don't have a pair in your collection, the Nike Dunk Low "Chinese New Year" will no doubt change things. Celebrating the Year of the Rabbit, this multicolored masterpiece is filled with so many fun details throughout, so make sure you read on to find out everything that we know so far.
Working on top of a beige suede base, royal blue and fiery red leather wraps around the toebox and heel, respectively. A dash of teal makes its way to the sockliner, while soft yellow hues adorn the rubber outsole underfoot. As if that wasn't funky enough, Nike have added a fleecy material to the Swooshes and tongue tags to mimic a rabbit's fur. Speaking of which, the Chinese character for "rabbit" is finely stitched here in a luxurious gold, and the cute animal also makes a cameo around the heel and across the insole. To round it all off, this Dunk comes with a pair of metallic gold dubraes with are etched with "2023" on them, nodding to, you guessed it, the Year of the Rabbit.
Chinese New Year lands on January 22nd, 2023, so don't be too surprised if the Nike Dunk Low Year Of The Rabbit releases around the beginning of 2023. Expected to drop in men's sizes at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers online and in physical locations, a retail price has yet TBA.
