In 2018, Nike and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference began a 6-year agreement that made Nike the exclusive equipment, accessory, and apparel brand for the SIAC. One of the schools in the SIAC is Clark Atlanta University. While things have been relatively quiet in terms of footwear for SIAC schools, that might just change with this Clark Atlanta University themed Nike Dunk Low.
Grey leather underlays are paired with black overlays. White hits on the midsole and heel tab, along with the laces that have CAU’s motto “find a way or make one” printed in black. Also in black is the toecap, eyestay, foxing and the tongue tag. Speaking of the tongue tag, CAU’s logo is prominently featured. Red hits on the top of the midsole, Swooshes, and inside collar lining, complete the rest of the design. Other details include: custom printed insoles, “1988” embroidered on the heel tab represents the year Clark College and Atlanta University consolidated to form CAU. Finishing things off is a full translucent outsole with a black panther underneath.
The Nike Dunk Low CAU is currently scheduled to release in October 2022. It will drop at select stores near Clark Atlanta University's campus in Atlanta and possibly through Nike online. Coming in men's sizing, retail is $120.
