Halloween sneakers vary widely depending on how well they play into the holiday’s themes. Some pairs stick to color palettes that evoke the sense of the spooky season, while others make more overt nods to Halloween’s imagery, bringing skeletons, ghouls, spiders, and more to life in footwear. For Nike, we’ve already been given multiple previews of upcoming Halloween sneakers, including Devin Booker’s Nike Book 1, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Nike Giannis Freak 6, Ja Morant’s Nike Ja 2, and the Kobe 5 Protro X-Ray. Outside of these Nike Basketball models, The Swoosh has also given the Dunk Low a kids’ exclusive colorway for the holiday, and now another Halloween Dunk has emerged.
Covering this new Dunk Low is cracked green leather on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlays, with the base layer below coming in a sleek black hue. More cracked details appear on the black collar and midfoot, with smooth leather landing on the toebox. While this area comes in standard leather, the toebox is given a skeleton makeover, replacing the usual perforations with an embossed skull. The laces come in a tonal green shade that matches the sockliner, tongue lining, and tongue tag. A 3D Swoosh on the midfoot stands out, coming lined with green stitching to provide extra pop. Rounding out the design is the black rubber midsole paired with an olive green rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low Halloween Skull is set to release on October 24, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store.
