Though the Nike Dunk Low hype isn’t as high as it was last year, the humble 80’s basketball low-top continues to receive new editions day in and day out. With every color under the sun being utilized, The Swoosh has taken the liberty of updating the materials on the often smooth leather-built sneaker, as seen on the upcoming Nike Dunk Low "Iron Grey."
Coming to us in an all-grey upper, the silhouette gets treatment all too familiar to recent and upcoming AJ1s, cracked leather. This material gets used around the mudguard, eyestays, heel overlay, and the Nike branded heel tab. On the perforated toebox, midfoot panel, and collar, smooth leather is utilized, juxtaposing the various overlays throughout. More monochromatic grey continues on the mesh tongue, laces, and sockliner, though retro Nike branding in black is paired to a ghost green insole. Along the midfoot, the grey Nike Swoosh joins in on the cracked leather party, though a hidden detail on the lateral side shines brightly due to the oversized 3M reflective Nike Swoosh. This same hidden detail can be seen on the heel tab where stretched Nike text is present. Underfoot, a white Nike Dunk midsole is set to a scream green Nike Grind rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low Retro Premium Iron Grey is set to release Holiday 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store.
